This is the thread where we discuss beer in all it's awesome-ness. In this thread we will talk about types of beer that kick ass... what our favorites are... what games can be played... and tools to enhance in speed drinking.

Anywho... I gots me a few favorites.

Great White - Lost Coast Brewery (Eureka, Ca) is the shit. I love it I love it I love it. It's a light beer but tasty.

Black Butte - It's a porter... but it doesn't make you wince if you're not a fan of dark dark beer. It'll hit ya pretty hard and taste fuckin' good doing it.

Jeremiah Red (From BJ's brewery/restaurant) - Just good. I never had Irish Red Ale (except some Kill Kenny when I was in Belfast... that shit was gnarly crazy) before. This shit is pretty damn good.

Eye of the Hawk - (Ukiah, Ca) This shit roooooooocks. It shit-fucks you in the face and is quite tasty. That's really all I can say about it. Amazing.

All of these I discovered when I was living in Arcata going to school. My roomies were beer snobs in general, and we would only have some shit beer in the fridge for parties or gaming. I miss those bars.

The best of the worst!

Coors Light - (Also known as C-) I'll take it over the other water beers. Not sure why, it just feels the smoothest.

Rolling Rock - It doesn't suck. If I went to a kegger and they went to the high class level of Rolling Rock I wasn't disappointed.

Miller High Life - The Champagne of Beer. How can that not turn you on?

Corona - NO lime. I like Corona. It's not bad for being pretty damn cheap. Tasty stuff.

Beer Pong and other drinking game beers
(Assuming you're going sub- C-/Bud Light/Miller

If you're forced to go for the 5 dollar 12 packs, here are my recommendations.

Natty Light - Natty ice is DISGUSTING... Light isn't great, but it's more like water than the other shit beers. It doesn't taste good, but it doesn't taste like sweat that's come off a ballsack of a guy who just did a triathlon.

Pabst Blue Ribbon - PBR - The staple of college students. It's cheap, it's "okay" and it has SOME flavor. Mike's best advice? DON'T let this shit get warm.

Beer that makes me want to vomit

Hamms - Disgusting
Hamms - Disgusting
Hamms - Disgusting.

Mike covered some good stuff up there. I'm always trying out beers I haven't tried before, and even give beers I find I "don't like" a second chance to see WHY I don't like it, or to be persuaded after a second go-around.

Rolling Rock IS the best of the worst. Goes down easy, gets you drunk if you're aiming for it, and leaves none of that aftertaste nonesense. While I'll indulge myself in Good beers when I go out with the guys, I have to say that I'm a simple man at heart, and therefore I'm happy with this simple brew. It's what I stock my fridge with if I'm not aiming to buy something more upscale. Dave's Beer of Choice.

Miller Genuine Draft (MGD) is a fall-back beer. It's what you get when there's no good beer available, and you just don't want to get a Budweiser. It has more flavor than a "water beer" (most cheap, light beers), and it has a mild bitter aftertaste. Drink it cold after a meal and you won't notice it.

Sam Adams (original), "Always A Good Choice". There's some truth to this. If you're a real beer snob and know your way around your choices, you can do better. For everyone else, this is a safe bet to get some decent lager in you. If you know what you're looking for, you will find it slightly-sweet, but expect a stronger wave of "good" bitter flavor afterwards. Warning, it's a somewhat stronger beer than normal.[/b]

Well, from all the brands you said, the only ones I recongnize are Corona and bud. So here is my list of brands:
-Cristal beer
-Heineken
-Escudo beer
-In chile's south (Valdivia city) there's german tradition and homemade beer!!! officially my favorite.

Anyway, here in Chile we have Pisco as the most popular booze, Here it is what beer is to you. BTW don't you have something else for getting drunk??.

Sam Adams is a pretty good staple. It's good, it's not ridiculously expensive, etc etc. It's what I got to stock my mini-fridge when I was up at school.

The Summer brew kicks ASS too.

Rolling Rock and MGD aren't BEER... it's not drinking bread... it's drinking water that had some crutons crushed over it.

Also, Beer rocks... Kara, L2LoveIt

Pass. Not much of a drinker anymore. Occasional glass of wine or a fruity drink. No more than 1 or 2 in an entire night.
