http://www.theonion.com/content/video/child_bankrupts_make_a_wish_0

at first i appreciated the cleverness of the whole idea. as you start to think of what the kid's actually doing, it's sickening.

this young man has unlimited wishes which through a bureaucratic loophole in The Make A Wish Foundation's policies. by the time the foundation realized it was going to be a problem, the kid WISHED away their legal team. Wow...

I wonder if any kids would actually try that in real life. If they seriously could get away with it, that would be hilarious.

@Sadsiren: I think this IS happening in real life. The kid's getting away with it. Unless the story turns out to be fabricated.

@yino: yes, the kid is dying; that's what the Make-a-Wish foundation is for, terminally ill kids who are dying of whatever they have, getting a 'wish' before they die.

The Make A Wish Foundation is an actual outfit that does go around trying to grant kids their dying wish.

The Onion makes up news for fun.

What's great is when a "legitimate news" or organization finds something in The Onion that makes them mad and then use that to further their own agendas. Great way to lose legitimacy.

As Dave said, The Onion is a fake news organization, they do spoof articles and now apparently spoof newscasts. >.>

Ah ha, okay! So it is fake and I was fooled! O_O

I knew there was something funny/strange about the Onion, but I couldn't remember if it was made up news, or just weird news.
