Running does get boring unless you have someone with you. Jumping rope seemed more interesting, but it was awkward when people in your area would just stare at you.

if your by yourself you need to play games....

try this.... find someone running ahead of you and try to catch up to them. then when you pass them, find some one else and do the same thing until you've ran your desired distance.

or this.... just make fun of the way people are dressed as you pass them. in your head of course....

and remember to wear proper shoes.... they might be a little more expensive, but they are worth it.

I have two good pairs of running shoes.

And the way I kept myself entertained was to run just far enough behind cute girls.
