I just saw an article about a live action Thundercats movie being picked up by Warner Bros. The current release date is 2010.
heres a link to the article:
http://www.tv.com/story/9663.html?q=thundercats&tag=search_results;additional_links;0

I've always been a big fan of the Thundercats concept, although like Transformers and GI Joe, the actual cartoon was subpar. I'm pretty excited for this movie. This might motivate me to get a Thundercats symbol tat.

Thoughts?

Yeah, but now I'll have a timeline for getting it: before 2010.

Do. Not. Get. That. Tat. You will regret it for the rest of your life. I don't know how old you are, but by the time you're 30 you will not want to show it to anyone. Buy a T-shirt instead. Besides, you don't even know if the movie's going to be any good or not. Consider this: what if Michael Bay *gag* *cough* - sorry, something got caught in my throat.

Knowing Liam the way i do, I highly doubt that would be the case. Even if the movie does stink, he'll always love the cartoon.

Voice of experience speaking here? I have a number of Thundercats tee-shirts already in fact. I actually really just like the logo and think it is awesome. But you could be right. Maybe I'll incorporate it into something else. One of the best self designed tats I've ever seen was a guy who worked Samus from Metroid into the Irish Claddagh symbol.

I got a buddy with the logo from Macross on his arm. He loved it when he got it and as far as I know still loves it. To each their own. Wink

Everything else aside, that thundercats symbol is just done well. It'd make a good tat regardless of anything else.

Thats pretty much my logic on the matter.

And, so we're talking about movies and not tattoos, Any thoughts on the cast list for this movie/ who should do the voice acting? I'd say the guy (ashamedly i can't remember his name) who portrays Abe Sapien in Hellboy and more recently the Silver Surfer in Rise of the Silver Surfer, for Lion-O. He has a very expressive way of moving and I'm pretty sure he could do a decent voice over as well.

I believe Lawrence Fishburne did the voice for the 'Surfer. And yes, his voice is teh awesome. Along with the guy who does those U.S. Navy voice-overs - Keith David, I think.
