Sometimes I wish Lucas had just taken this series and gone forward in time with movies instead of the 3-crap pile-up of prequels that came out as a result.
I think about this all the time. Almost as much as I think about the impending Zombie invasion. The post original trilogy extended universe would have been perfect for a movie adaptation, but sadly we will never see it.

That episode just killed me when the first time I heard it on the radio, utter comedy. _________________ Anyone who says money can't buy happiness doesn't have enough money.

Trebuchet and I will wreak grievous injury upon any fool within arms reach who proclaims the so-called prequels as canonical. Geez, go read the Harry Potter thread about truth in fiction, and tell me that the musical sequence in the Special Edition Return of the Jedi rings true.
As far as I'm concerned, where "truth in fiction" reigns, the Knights of the Old Republic videogame is far more canonical than anything Lucas has shit out in recent years. I mean, if I'm being totally honest, I can't even swallow Ewoks annihilating an Imperial battalion.

Ewoks are vicious...I'd say like fuzzy little piranhas, but thats the Noghri.
I pretty much agree with the Gungun hate, but I was totally surprised when I caught a whiff of the Ewok rancor (there's a mental picture). I so didn't mind them and the cartoon was kind of fun. _________________ <(@_@<), <(@_@)>, (>@_@)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_~)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_@<)

You only like the ewoks for one of two reasons:
1) You're a sucker for cute little fuzzies
2) You love Star Wars and can't come to grips with any aspect of it being bad
I freely admit I'm firmly entrenched in camp #2. Like I said, if I'm being honest, the idea that the Ewoks as presented, could've stood a snowball's chance in hell against the Imperials is simply bad writing. You have no idea how much I love that damned "Jub Jub" victory song - I hope you understand that it's not the Ewoks themselves I'm deriding.

I still try to imagine Han and the gang being captured by wookies! And Chewy having to convince the wookie chieftain to fight with the rebels. Can you imagine a whole cadre of wookie warriors swinging in on vines blasting away at stormtroopers with their bowcasters? Picture some of them bashing heads and flinging imperial troops like so much dry kindling.
I can, at the very least, live with the idea of ewoks. Hayden Christiansen as Anakin Skywalker? No way in hell. _________________ Conan! What is best in life?

And now I don't have it anymore. I saw the error of my ways. _________________ "Addiction can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be changed."
