I would have stated the post as "300" but I don't have some bad-ass new trailer you guys haven't seen for that yet.

The link's pretty self-explanatory.

Transformers, Spiderman 3, TMNT, Rocky Balboa, The Simpsons Movie... man, it's like they took our childhood and concentrated it into the year 2007.

I saw the new trailer for Transformer and It looks as if it's going to have the same Humanocentric problem that AvP did.

Transformers is going to suck. Want to know why? Two words: Michael FRICKIN' Bay! That's actually three words but !PEARL HARBOR! had I actually wrote "three words" I would have !BAD BOYZZZZZZZ! given away the punchline, thereby falling prey to !THEY ALL SUCKTTT! what is ailing modern trailers - the giving away of too much information. Thank you. Good night. Mad

I too despise Michael Bay and have said that he would be the downfall of this production. In fact my repeated mantra of "Michael Bay, Michael Bay...(exasperated sigh) Michael Bay" has become a well known and expected catchphrase when film comes up among my people here out east.

Continue to fight the good fight, my good man, and I shall endeavor to do likewise here. One glorious day - perhaps not even in our lifetime - his name shall be synonymous with such epithets as philistine and cretin. Or at least french.

God save the Queen.

Right, I know there are those out there who have seen this movie now. Opinions: Was it good? Was it Great? Was it worth the price of admission?

1) They spent way too much time on the kid. Frankly, I couldn't give a shit about the kid. I know it's important to have him be the bridge to the giant robots but did they really have to spend a whole fucking hour on him?? 30 minutes would've been plenty.

2) The decision to show more of the robots's endo-skeletal infrastructures as opposed to having body armor covering most of it was a bad choice. When the Autobots or the Decepticons are just standing there looking cool, it's OK. When they're fighting and swooping and doing all kinds of things with their hands - a complete mess! Whoever directed this piece o' crap (ahem, Michael Bay) slept through his Visual Design classes in film school.

3) I liked the characterization of Bumblebee.

4) I liked Optimus's voice (it sounded like the same guy who did his voice in the cartoon)

5) There needed to be a really kick ass car chase sequence near the end but it devolved into one of those messy, visually confusing fight sequences.

That is because it was, in fact, Peter Cullen.

Laughing

I don't understand what that SNL skit has to do with Transformers but it made me laugh.

Just reminding you that there was ONE entertaining Michael Bay movie. It's possible that lightning could strike twice in the same place...however unlikely.
