So Dan this last one, not your best work. But I forgive you. Dave, well done.

Marriage is a very interesting topic...Dan pray tell why you and Helen are jumping the gun. I mean did she take your proposition that seriously. Maybe this Helen needs to be created in real life then because if that's the case then she needs to be your girlfriend now. You know to serve your every need and then punch you in the face when you step out of line. (sorry I'm rambling now)

After reading the previous strip and today's strip, I take it as Dan saying "Marry me" as a joke following up the fact that Helen is very Irish. I didn't know that was a criteria that Dan looks for in a girl Wink

Moving on to today's strip, it seems that Helen, although obviously knowing that Dan was joking, started to give the thought of marriage some thought. Maybe Dan and Helen were discussing it and as such, it's what she's rambling about while Dan greets the guys who just came in.

Finally, the fact that Bianca states that she was raised Catholic probably just took everyone by surprise.

Not some of Dan's best work, but it moves things along and I did get a slight chuckle out of everyone's reaction to Bianca.

I agree. Not Dan's best is not bad it's just not as amazing as his potential. And I missed the Bianca raise catholic thing...i thought the "me toos" were to the eventual marriage comment. Now it's even funnier.

Huh. I thought this was one of the better ones. The gag of an oblivious Squishy character saying "What?" might be played out, but the idea of a Catholic succubus utterly tickles my fancy! Laughing

Catholisism is totally steeped in guilt and original sin. If you're to blame for something and start out evil to boot wouldn't you be more likely to go to hell than someone who wasn't? Basically, its a very "Hell" friendly religion. Especially since it burns out so many people.

Jesus spoke more about Hell than any other person in the Bible so it must be an important theme.

As long as we remember the hell he spoke of wasn't always the lake of fire/burning brimstone type. He'd scare me more when he spoke of getting tossed out of the greatest party of all time, into the interminable darkness, facing abject loneliness.

He also spoke at great length of the Kingdom Wink

I thought I was following this thread until I read Paul's post. Now I'm lost in the woods somewhere.

I don't get how some were confused by the Bianca Is Catholic thing! It's funny, if I can get it, then other people should get it. Trust me, it's a miricale if I can understand ANYTHING! You haters.

Other then that I'm completely lost too. I thought this was about Dan and Helen, not Jesus.

Since the topic that Dan and Helen are discussing is Roman Catholicism, I think Jesus is wholly apropos.
