His attention? Not yet, since if he's not already asleep he's still on Xbox Live. Give it a day or two.

I dunno, Mike's 24 and, though I'm loathe to admit it, that would be the same as the age gap between me and your sister when we dated. Also, Mary's only 1 3/4 years older than you.

Hey leave me out of this. Desi isn't old enough to vote, then she isn't old enough to date a guy over 20.

Actually Desi is old enough to vote. She's been 18 since June.

Actually 18, since April, Danielle has the June birthday

Also I'm too scared of Mike, it would never work

Sweet, we can actually get back to "Direman" then instead of having it totally degenerate into yet another stilted general conversation:P

BioShock!

While I may not have the way with the written word like Dee, I know that the feeling is mutual: BioShock will be dominating the bulk many a gamer's play time starting next week.

I'd say that I'm going to stop drawing so that I may give more time to this game when it's out... but Dee would then not give me my daily bowl of oatmeal (yes, he's been kind enough to upgrade me).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank all that is good for Xbox Live Demos....otherwise it would be such a pain to get Dave to try and acknowledge games outside his normal spectrum. I'm glad he's actually looking forward to playing this, would be nice if he'd actually go back and give "System Shock 2" a chance...you know, seeing as how "Deus Ex" and "Bioshock" are the two successors in the line.

There's a horrible irony involved in terms of the current strip (Wedge calls up Microsoft to get his X360 repaired). As Dee explains, the fact that his system was only a "little busted" meant that Microsoft wasn't going to pay up for repairs. He does a good enough job expounding that point over at www.direman.com so there's really no need to get into too much detail on that one.

The irony I speak of, is the fact that he got his system at launch and simply waited...Poor little Dee sitting there for well over a year, waiting and hoping that someone else from his circle of friends would get one too so he could experience the joys of general online multiplayer with them. Time passes and suddenly I get one. We play "Crackdown", we play "Gears", we have fun. A tiny, tiny amount of time passes and Dave sees how "good it is" and gets one, then Joel, then Paul, and in rapid succession they all fall like dominoes!!

And then...his X360 dies on him...and so does mine (not so much dead but suffering from a rather ridiculous ailment) and so now we have this thriving little Xbox Live community with regular near nightly marathon gaming sessions and we are forced (for now) to sit on the sidelines...What did we do all last night? Just talked, on the phone, going over stuff. Soon...soon we shall return (though less so Dee, he's still waiting for his return shipping box to arrive whilst I already sent mine out) and rejoin our bretheren. Out there! Online!

As a quick cap to this I present to you something Dee related to me and I told him he needed to get this Drawn and made a single panel strip or something: In a fit of boredom and desperation he went and updated his Wii firmware so he could use the "Everybody votes" channel in some pale semblance of online interaction. Imagine if you will Dee sitting on a little stool in front of his television holding a Wiimote, head in his hands as he sobs, "I need to get back on Xbox Live!" as little Miis dance from pie chart piece to pie chart piece as they present the answers to the tough questions. Questions like: Are shorts cool? and "Is it okay to hold hands on a first date? or even Which do you prefer, hot or cold weather?....

FYI: My "seeing how good it was" happened when Dee FIRST showed me the 360. My problem was an issue of funds.

You (Arturo) had your 360 practically fall on your lap :p

I FINALLY got mine thanks to having employment that actually pays me enough so that getting a 360 was merely an "ouch" to my wallet and not a death sentence :p

Jerk.

I agree the strip was good. And I always love a good in your-face-'cause-it's-so-true kinda joke, which Dee is really good at.

Tre- Why did I understand that? I feel as though I should not have been able to understand that.
