I was originally looking forward to picking one up as soon as I possibly could. Being still drunk with the joy of having gotten my DS Lite on the first day of release I figured I might as well do the same with this. Luckily for me the shortage slammed down hard on the Wii's availability for a good long while and I was forced to wait for most of the year until I finally had a shot at picking one up.
Since then I have acquired a X360 with tons of games which lets me play online with friends without need for friend codes and have had the chance to hear the complaints and cries of those who had gotten a Wii and found themselves without much to play on it besides, as Dee would say, ports of Gamecube games.
At this point? I think I'll give it /at least/ another half-year to a year before I consider it again. You know, to watch the library grow beyond the ports, mini-game collections and gimmick titles like "Wii-Fit" and its uber-awesome "balance board"

The "Wii Fit" Balance Board. You stand on it. And depending on which way you lean something happens on the screen. Thats pretty much it.
Wii Fit itself is a software package in the same vein as Wii Sports and the generally less well received Wii Play. Except you use the board. _________________ <(@_@<), <(@_@)>, (>@_@)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_~)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_@<) |

But you're the one balancing on top of the gimmick. So that would mean you're balancing on top of the gimmick that's balancing on top of the other gimmick, that's balancing off the morons that like the Wii? _________________ Anyone who says money can't buy happiness doesn't have enough money. |

Actually they still are rare. There may have been a shipment in but global demand is still at a all time high and work just came down that their parts makers in Taiwan have been having problems so production will be down until at least July of next year. _________________ <(@_@<), <(@_@)>, (>@_@)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_~)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_@<) |
