Yeah, you read that right. Yes, I'm serious. No, it isn't a typo.
The little system that could but wasn't given a chance by its creators, the Sega Dreamcast, is still going strong despite being ostensibly crushed by the Playstation 2 at its release and then formally discontinued in 2001 when Sega decided (was forced) to leave the console market and restructure as purely software oriented company to whore out its IPs to other consoles.
For years though there have been many who have stayed faithful to this wonderful little console, what with its clean colorful graphics, its online play years ahead of its competition, and its library of fun titles and a awesome library of pretty much arcade perfect (Sega used the same board/architecture in the Dreamcast as it did in its arcade machines) fighting games. And so they have been continually rewarded by a steady trickle of new titles (usually shooters, puzzle games, and a sports or adventure game comprising each years new additions) because of the ease of development and the relatively good performance and graphics attained on the machine when compared to the lower development cost.
The first 2 of next year's crop are, oddly enough, a shooter and a puzzle game( ). You can read all about them here. _________________ <(@_@<), <(@_@)>, (>@_@)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_~)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_@<) |
