A remake called Awaken the Dragon has been green-lighted by Warner Independent Pictures. The film will focus on noir and according to writer/director Kurt Sutter (producer "The Shield"), making his big film directing debut;
"I wanted to set it in these underground fight clubs where the action is really raw and expose the brutality of Shaolin kung fu. This will be more 'Raging Bull' than 'Crouching Tiger' in its viciousness."

I don't like most remakes, but this has me excited. Currently, no casting has been made. So let the informal castings begin.
I nominate Jet Li as the monk.
Ed Norton as the agent. I'll also accept Donnie Yen as the agent. _________________ A bene placito

Sorry, That's what I saw. I didn't even get to read the article. Now that I have... Well... I dunno. I wish they would just make it different enough that they would have to tie it into "Enter The Dragon" at all. I think it could be done well though. A noir/kung fu film isn't really a bad idea. I hope it's in black and white _________________ Mercy is the mark of a great man.
