I will keep making usic post until a music section is made!
So what are people's favorite bands/musicians? Why? What are the least favorite? What's your favorite song? Favorite Genre? Who's the first you remeber listening to?
My favorite is Silverchair. Although they've changed their sound, I'm still a fan. I wasn't really able to be around their music in their prime (I'm 18 they were out late 80s early 90s, if I'm not mistaken), I discovered them when they came out with Anthem For The Year 2000. I really like Untitled which came out on the Godzilla soundtrack and their best of. It's a song that had many people asking in my middle school "Are you ok?" But the melody is beautiful.
I don't think I have a least favorite band/musician because I take into account the music they've made and what they've said. I could say Britney, but I don't consiter her a musican anymore. I think she's a Media wh**e. I can say I don't like a lot of Linkin Park's new stuff and the fact that they say download music, blah blah, and then go and have their music taken off Napster. And Friends Don't Let Friends, Get Friends Haircuts.
Favorite song is Asleep by the Smiths. It's gorgeous and I like the lyrics. It's a sweet song. Also Because I Love You by Lenny Williams. I think that's the ultimate love song and the best way to say you're sorry for anything. It's a song I discovered through my dad.
My favorite genres currently are Classic Rock (Black Sabbath, Def Leppard, Moterhead, Poison, ect.) and Japanesse Hip-hop. Strange combo, yes, but when you have things like Ay Bay Bay and The Chiken Noodle Soup song... Also Frank Sinatra is one of the most romatic musicians in my opinion.
Temptaions and Bille Holiday are the first two musical artist that I've heard. They've really influenced my musical taste.
Yeah i like music. _________________ IT'S OVER 9000!!!!!!!!! |

Wow, that came out of left field....thats like saying ""Better Than Ezra" is the Bestest!!"
I will admit to missing what may be most of their later works. I only remember the original stuff I heard on the radio and while not being bad didn't seem too exceptional at the time. Any further listening suggestions so that I may give them a shot, and not just "Ralph! Buick!!" like Steve did?
And hey, the longer you keep people talking music the more likely a section for it will pop up:P
In terms of personal favorites...hhmm. There I have a bit of a quandry in that I like so much across so many genre's that its hard to just start picking without disparaging other favorites.... I'll pick a long time favorite then. "Possession", by Sarah McLachlan. _________________ <(@_@<), <(@_@)>, (>@_@)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_~)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_@<) |

While we're on the subject of The King, I just wanted to say that one of my guilty pleasure Elvis songs is In the Ghetto. _________________ Conan! What is best in life?

I'm sorry, it's just that I've taken a personal interest in giving Heartbreak a hard time. So between that and not being a fan of Silverchair at all, I attacked.
I believe I mentioned that I had no problem creating the music section should a Squishy affiliate take an interest in keeping the section in interest or up to date OR if you little Heartbreak would like to assume that responsibility, I will give it to you. _________________ Steve

i love all music! and I mean all music (except the music a five-year-old non-prodigy tries to make on the piano). However a few genres I would never listen to without heavy prompting.
My standing favorites are Blink 182 (which is actually dying out as they "progress" their music) and Green Day (who despite some not so great songs have always come together) and speaking of coming together the movie "Across the Universe" as re-kindle my love of (and incessant need for) the Beetles. _________________ ~jynx~
