I can't quite figure out what's written on the box, though... something about cake? |

"Princess Peach Cake"
I didn't expect anyone to read it. It's sort of like an unspoken game I play with people I know (and, on ocassion, don't know) who read Squishy and Direman. I like to plug in certain things here and there, then forget about it until someone brings it up. It's a form of getting people to take a second look at the strips Example: Kudos to Arturo Aguirre for finding the "Speecy Spicy Sausage" of L.A. based KROQ radio station fame in the Direman strip that has Wedge prepping for a long Call of Duty 4 grind.
Other strips that do this:
Sinfest has background elements change panel to panel even if it happens to be the same, static shot in a strip.
Questionable Content always has something interesting to read on the blackboard in the coffee shop. _________________ "Addiction can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be changed."

Ah, hee hee! That's neat! I love cute little easter eggs like that.
I really like Questionable Content, but sometimes I do forget to read the blackboard.
But yeah, goomba squishy = Teh Love. If you ever decide to start marketing Squishy T-shirts, I nominate panel 3 for a design. |

T-Shirts that I'd love to see when they become viable.
"Deadline! DEADLINE!!!"
"Convertables: Natures Trashcans" with a picture of a chibi Mike giving thubms up and a sillouette of a convertable.
"H.S.O. Home Sapien Oblivious" With the red and blue stick figures saying 'I love you' and 'Hey look, a tree!'
The cast as Goombas.
"Teh Tech Monkeys" with a picture of a Simian James and Steve doing the Monolith thing to a server.
"Squishy Comics. We only came to kick some ass" Plain and simple _________________ "Addiction can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be changed."

Yes! Mwahahah!
I would totally want the "Deadline!" "HSO" and Goomba shirts. hehehe
They all sound awesome though. I hope Squishy can start taking over the world to the point where you can begin marketing shirts! |

the trick to taking over the world will be to make friends with other web artists like Jeph Jacques of QC and Chris Hastings of Dr. McNinja (two of my favorite writers/artists). They promo each others stuff and if we could get on that then I think we would greatly widen or fan base. Not to mention what Direman is going to add.
Goombas = best squishy comic ever.
I would buy all your merchandise! Every pieces so that no one else could have any. _________________ ~jynx~

A friend of mine is in the t-shirt making business. I had approached Steven, and asked him to make a CD of JPEGS or Vector images of the characters of Squishy and tag lines and so forth so that he could give me an estimate of how much that job would cost. If your interested make the CD and i'll ask him to do it.

Whoa, that's a lot of penetration. I don't know how much more penetrated the market can stand to get. O_O
Also, regarding the new comic, #153, introducing the GURPS characters? My gosh, Helen just gained several Hotness Points. Yum.
Speaking of Yum, I finished my first piece of Squishy Fanart. As you can probably imagine, it's Bianca. (She looks a bit different in my style though... I don't know how Dave makes her so incredibly cute!) I have some other non-Bianca ideas I might work on later though, and now I'm seriously tempted to make some Sexy Helen. |
