I just got it for chirstmas, and gutair hero III and final fantasy tatics.... yes this was a wonderful christmas!

And I am totally addicted to Rock Band! My day goes as follows get up, shower play rocband, eat, play more rockband, watch rock of love, eat play rockband, surf the net while playing rockband, then maybe sleep... If I'm not playing rockband

Is it as god awful hard as the last 4 songs on GH3?

The Guitar is quite easy. Well I'm a newbie who just stepped out of Medium to Hard difficulty. Never played a Guitar Hero game before. But it's been really easy so far. Everyone says and I can say its true that the drums are FAR harder than the guitar. But everyone always wants to play the drums. The singing is easy but I hate the sound of my voice so I refuse to sing heh.

I just got Rock Band today, and its freakin' awesome!

I am the drummer baby! I actually have a real drum kit I can play (well, technically its my dad's and his mini recording studio's but whatever) so I fell into drums really easy. I also double on vocals for the songs our lead singer doesn't know or won't sing, such as most songs with female vocals.

I <3 the guitar that comes with the special edition, the strat is just so damn sexy.

If theres any problem with the game, its that I can't rock out too hard or I'll mess up on songs, even though I just want to go crazy. Also, I wish they made it easier to hot swap band members and the instrument you're playing. Its kind of annoying to have to sign out, unplug, replug and sign back in to change instruments, and its just impossible if you're the band leader. You're -stuck- if you're the band leader. We just fixed that by making the band leader some odd random guy on vocals, since we swapped who was singing pretty often due to the above mentioned complications.

I suppose if you wanted you could just trade the instruments, but then you don't have your own personlized rocker playing your instruments... oh well. Minor nitpick ^_^

Whenever I think about music related games, I'm torn between the fact that I like singing, and the desire to not look like a moron. The latter almost always wins, so I don't really play music games. lol.

Playing GHIII with the controller....on the one hand since its a video game most people would find that more acceptable.....on the other hand the people who stand up and rock the plastic guitar would totally shake their heads at me... I'm in a sub-category of scorn all my own=_=.....

I do actually use the guitar, but when it comes to actually playing well/above Medium or trying to unlock stuff its the X360 controller all the way.
