Since it's been mentioned in another thread, why the hell not.

This will be the TRIUMPHANT return to RTS by TheGrtWhiteHype... oh yes...
The name will come to be feared yet again.

Also, I cant' imagine this shit now that we have Ventrillo/Teamspeak... it's gonna make it that much more ridiculous.

Ahhhh, I remember the days of yelling to the room next to mine in the dorms during DOTA.

"GANK THAT FUCKIN' OMNIKNIGHT, HE'S RUNNING YOUR WAY, I'LL CUT HIM OFF!"

and hearing our non-game nerd roomies be like "We hate you both!"

"I GOT HIM, BUT ZEUS NOOBED ME! GO GET HIM!"

Yeah... now we can yell on microphones, fun fun.

Anyways... I just can't wait to dispense more Protoss beatings!

Sad to admit, but so do I.

I didn't really get into WC3's RTS main multiplayer proper, but I LOVED DotA.

If they make a DotA-like game for SC2, I'll probably play that more than the RTS game itself (not counting the single player story. That was bad-ass in SC1)

Thanks to both a sub-par rig and a slow connection, /AND/ the fact that the custom maps /kicked ass/ I too played more custom maps than the actual game.

I remember making Manya leave a game... because I was going apeshit crazy with the Stealth Assassin.... poor ice biotch had no chance.

I gotta say... the TFT Dota with the crazy amounts of characters and items and transformation item thingies was AWESOME. It was complicated at first, but it rocked pretty damn hard once you got the idea.

Once they worked out all the ridiculous shit:

Totally unbalanced numbers
Broken characters
No sense of pacing
"Win" buttons

Eventually they balanced things out to a fun level. Some characters were pretty powerful, but they could be taken out with "weaker" characters that were slanted to defeat such heroes. So yeah, fun. Lots of it.

I remember Jake giving me all his gear one time because the other team had an overpowered Clinx. I gotta say, a stealth assassin with 2x Divine Rapiers, Boots of Travel, Invisible seeing thingy, Radiance, Sange/Yasha can tear through those Aegis "I don't die" charges pretty quick.

Smile

Ahhh ranged attackers. I always sucked so much with melee. The only melee I did decent with was the Warden looking one. Phantom Assassin I think maybe named? But <3 Drow / Razor. Those were the days.
