Best rationale ever.
Also, this strip has cemented me even more firmly in the Dan/Helen camp. <3

The last two panels are the final strike for this strip, silent helen's expression quite mean it.

magic is always the excuse for breaking all phisical rules, we need to move quick: teleport with magic, fuck the constant energy, we need to fly guess what magic, everything works great with magic, and how does magic work? easy is just magic.

Bianca/Dave - Obvious. Although I sometimes wish I knew what exactly her contract is... I ASSUME that there's a contract involved considering how she came about.
Dan/Helen - Yes... pair up the two most neurotic people. Explosive times.
Helen/Dave - Can you say harrassment? That and she'd probably end up scaring me.
James/Sarami - RL FTW

This strip came from an actual conversation which i had with my girlfriend a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't really beat her on the science (she has a degree in physics), but "He's a freaking wizard" did win the argument. Also, those numbers are pretty accurate, at least they're the rates of terminal velocity for a skydiver with a semi-open chute and one in a diving position.
