Last Dragon was blaxploitation! Like Dolemite and shit. A better comparison would be "I'm gonna git you sucka!" as a spoof... since it spoofed Blaxploitation. Those spoof movies don't take themselves seriously, whereas Dolemite and Last Dragon "do" compared to I'm Gonna Git You Sucka!.

Bah!

Oh, and T2 > T1... kinda like Aliens > Alien.

On a final note... 2 movies...

Empire Records
Dazed and Confused. NO MORE.... MR. NICE GUYYYYYYYYYYY!

Huh, I've seen pretty much everything that Mike's put up, I'm still short on three movies that Kara put up.

Yay for Mike living in close proximity, having me watch those movies (I can only assume) that I haven't seen that he says one MUST see.

T2 KICKED ASS.

GPB Was awesome.

and Young Frankenstein was teh shit.

Yeppers, but only once and a long time ago. It's another one of those "I should watch it again" situation, otherwise It might as well count as me never seeing it.

Forgot this one on the list:

History of the world Part 1. (Mel Brooks is amazing)

Dazed and Confused and Empire Records are both good movies but not the classics like the ones I listed off. I'm talking about movies that made generations and made movies what they are today.

And Though yes I enjoyed watching T2 more than T1, Terminator 1 was the start of the dynasty. It was a horror movie unlike any others and it shot up if not created Arnold's career. T2 was action T1 was horror. Though it was in the same world none of the other Terminator movies or tv shows kept to T1's spookyness.

FUCK THE POOR!!!!

Yeah, History of the World Pt. 1 rocked my face off.

Where I agree with you that T1 was the "start" and it was "scarier" T2 was still a superior movie. It's like comparing Resident Evil 1 to Resident Evil 4. 1 was good, esp. for it's time... it started everything. but 4 got it RIGHT.

I'm trying to scan my dvd case in my mind to say what else is a must see... without breaking too much into the more modern stuff...

If you haven't seen Rocky you're not American... 'nuff said.

Ummmmmmmm.... How bout Footloose, anybody for Footloose...
..
..
..
..
I just threw up a little in my mouth for saying that.

Mike got me. I haven't seen Foot Loose.

Rocky: Great Movie

Rocky 2: Feel Good Movie

Rocky 3: Fun Movie

Rocky 4: AWESOME Fun Movie

Rocky 5: ...

Rocky Balboa*: Back to basics. Good Movie.

*The Angry Video Game Nerd has a point... they could have just called it Rocky 6, and left it at that... although he has a far more creative way of putting it.

Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid
Inside Man (not ghey porn)
Forrest Gump

I LOVE all of Wes Anderson's movies. They're totally nerd(as opposed to geek) and brilliant.
including and not limited to:
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
Rushmore
Bottle Rockets
