Hmmmm....I don't know. Adding lighting effects always looks nice, it's just that you lose much of the absurdity of the characters and there comedic situations. Shading adds dimension and depth of character, but is it really necessary for a comic strip? Hmmmm...I'm leaning towards not liking it...for now.

I'm still playing around with coloring to see what works and what doesn't for the characters in any given situation. Helen looked lifeless without shading in this instance, hence the lighting effects.

In any case, I really like how today's strip (#71, Insomnia) came out. I'm gonna pat myself on the back now.

I think in some cases absolutely shading should be used.

I just hope that the next comic strip lives up to they hype of Helen not being able to sleep. I wonder what could it be thats bugging her.

I do not think there is a boogie man under her bed, or was this just a shallow attempt to show that "She has Legs, She knows how to use them. She never begs, she knows how to choose them....the girl is alright, she's alright.," Shocked

I personally like the way that this strip came out... a little more detail than usual, but nice

I reiterate my Kudos from the main page. This is one of my favorite strips visually.

The detail is due to the fact that the "camera" is really close to Helen in this one, so if I didn't use any detail she wouldn't look right. The tablet allows me to add or take from a strip on a whim, so that helps too.

Fuego there's no need to overcompensate. We know you're not interested in what Helen has to offer.

I think that Fuego wants Helen to be a man, in hopes that Dave will kiss him one day, like in the comic strip.

As for seeing a boob, Fuego dont you know that Buffalo Bill from Slicene of the Lambs went in drag, he had no boobs and got away with it.

You should really look up to him as a role model for you, that why the FBI will be after you and you would not have time to post the repiles that you do.
