I'm bringing some steaks and some beer. What're you all bringing?
And for our friends who can't join us: Happy 4th! _________________ Conan! What is best in life?

I'm bringing myself. You're welcome.
Seriously though, I'm just a phone call away. Let me know what's needed and I'll see about getting it done. _________________ "Addiction can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be changed."

Happy fourth to You all too!
Except Aran, who I wish an especially happy 4th of july because it is just another day in Britain, and every day in Britain should be happy. _________________ ~jynx~

Oops! Did I say "steaks?" I meant Korean BBQ ribs, you know, the short ribs. And some beer. _________________ Conan! What is best in life?

Why thank you, it's nice to know not everyone I know in the United States of Americaland is taking the piss out of the UK for not keeping you lot under our control. _________________ Blake: "Tally ho, chocks away old chap"

"Taking the piss out"? I see that you'll manage to confuse me now and then.
And yeah, good wishes on all people. We just happen to have an excuse to have an extra special day on the 4th (Meat, Beer, more Meat, even more Beer). _________________ "Addiction can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be changed."

In my case, I'm glad I was born here in the U.S. Had I been born in Mexico (or moved there like my Dad wanted me to), I'd be cleaning up horse manure for roughly 5 dollars a day, begging my own relatives to let me do their chores in exchange for food and clothing.
Here in the states I've been slowing improving my quality of life both on my own accord and with help from my friends. Speaking of which, I wouldn't know any of the guys in the strips, which I have to say are really great people.
My mom has a saying which she drove into my skull while I was growing up: "Better poor but independant here than poor and humiliated there". I've seen first hand what life in Mexico's like. My mom is 100% right. _________________ "Addiction can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be changed."

How many times do I have to tell Dave what things mean? To take the piss out of something is to poke fun at it, insult it, joke about it (at its expense) and other such actions. _________________ Blake: "Tally ho, chocks away old chap"

As many times as you use a term that I am totally unfamiliar with or for which we (Americans) have a different use for:
Brit "She's pissed" (she's drunk)
American "Why?" (why is she angry?) _________________ "Addiction can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be changed."
