Hello,
We at Squishy Comics would to love to hear from you, our readers and participants, about what you do and don't like about our site. Be as brutal and descriptive as possible. If you can make one of us mad or cry, that's totally awesome and funny. Simply reply to this post.
At this point we're looking for feedback about the site's appearance and functionality. As far as the Squishy strip is concerned, you may bash on Danny about the writing or Dave about the art. Give 'em hell!! (but don't cuz we don't even get paid for this...)
Thank you!
P.S. When i said we, i really meant me. _________________ Steve

I find the comic both amusing and aesthetically pleasing. Forums on the other hand are fun but if your not privy to the conversations then it loses a lot because of ranting. But I am so it's okay to me. _________________ ~jynx~

Squishy Comics can...
Uh...
You can give very one of your wonderful, dedicated forumites £500,000 in used, non-sequential notes. For the uninitiated, that's just over $1,000,000 (all exchange rates correct at time last checked) _________________ Blake: "Tally ho, chocks away old chap"

Why did I expect that...?
Ok then, I guess I'll have to settle for being told about a decent web hosting company. _________________ Blake: "Tally ho, chocks away old chap"

Would you settle for hosting deal with another site;)....
How far along is your comic anyway? Haven't really seen a link I could go take a look yet:P
What I would like out of Squishy? For it to grow and for more people to start flooding in here with actual conversation, not just the usual forum clingers that a lot of other sites get. _________________ <(@_@<), <(@_@)>, (>@_@)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_~)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_@<)

By which you mean? Are you hinting that maybe I could leech off you guys?
Underscore is only on its 5th episode. It started a good few months ago, but as the newsposts quite clearly said I've had a string of problems/interruptions/obstacles that have restricted my activity there. Most of those are solved now, so it should go back to a sensible schedule. Underscore's main page is also my URL in my profile, but in case you can't be bothered looking it's here _________________ Blake: "Tally ho, chocks away old chap"

Squishy's like a community. It's my virtual neighborhood. I enjoy seeing Dan's comic strip voice evolving as well as Dave's art improving with every new strip. If you ever want to know what Dave's art was like...um, back in the day...hit up direman.com's archives - you'll be pleasantly surprised.
I guess I'm the cranky old curmudgeon sitting in his favorite rocking chair on his front porch, giving sour looks at all the kids eyeing his pristine garden with their muddied shoes and dirt-streaked faces. And, boy, does he ever like to talk about the good ol' days until your ears fall off or the streetlights come on, whichever comes first. He's one of those annoying neighbors who keeps the Stars n' Stripes up all year 'round too - along with the Christmas lights that went up in...let see now, '48? Or maybe it was the summer of '69? He can't remember, but he sure can't seem to forget that time you broke his window playing stick ball on the street.
And just when you start to wonder, "Why do we keep that old guy around?" he comes out with a pitcher of lemonade on the hottest day of the summer. It's not that store-bought powdery garbage either. It's freshly squeezed from lemons off his lemon tree out back with just the right amount of sugar, every time. So you sip at it, trying to make it last, even as the ice cubes start to numb your lips. For the first time in your life you start to look at him as a person, not the black hole where baseballs and footballs go to disappear forever. He still has that sour face, though, even as you and your friends giggle along with the clinking ice cubes.
Suddenly, some new distraction draws your friends away and they scamper off to whatever adventure awaits them on this long, hot summer. Remembering your manners, you turn around in mid-run to thank him. You have to shield your eyes to even see his hunched silhouette against the burning yellow sun. Balancing the tray of glasses on one hand he waves his other hand in your direction, without even looking, as he shuffles his way into the house.
One day, when you're living far away from that long, hot summer, the sound of your own kids laughing and playing on the verdant lawn takes you back there. As you squint, the lines around the edges of your eyes growing more defined year after year, you shield your eyes against the burning yellow sun and - you'll swear later - that you can almost taste that lemonade on your tongue. _________________ Conan! Are you, Aran, interested in being the first comic under the Squishy Comics label(aside from our flagship title, of course)? I would however have to inquire as to why you feel that the absence of robots and ninjas is a selling point for your comic. _________________ Mercy is the mark of a great man.

Ofcourse, we'd have to get our own stuff together first. Doesn't hurt to ask though. _________________ "Addiction can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be changed."

I feel that the absence of robots and ninjas is a unique selling point of Underscore because it's one of a select few webcomics that don't resort to robots or ninjas when thinking up new characters.
And if you can provide me with we hosting that works, I'd be quite happy to go under the Squishy banner. So long as I'm not www.underscore.squishycomics.com or the like. No subdomains for me thank you very much.
THe question was actually meant to be something more like "who does your web hosting" or "can you tell me a good web hosting company that allows access to files I've uploaded and aren't part of the website builder's template things". _________________ Blake: "Tally ho, chocks away old chap"

I would just like to say that I am awesome.
As proof, I'd like for y'all to go back just ten strips and you'll see how much better I am now. Go back twenty strips and you'll see drastic improvements in the art in general. Check out the very first strips and you can hardly compare that to the strips now. Amazing how much effect six months of practice has made on the work. Finally, check out the early Dave the Direman (www.direman.com/archive_page.php?comicID=1) and you'll swear it's a different artist.
Anyway, I'm awesome _________________ "Addiction can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be changed."

Paul- great story
Aran- NOOO! dont let them rope you in. They eat web comic writers for breakfast. Where do think dan gets all his ideas from?
Dave- Yes you are. But dont get cocky because you'll jynx it. And that is coming from me, so be warned.
Steve- how about you? How is your squishy experience? _________________ ~jynx~
