The Onyxia guy was classic, but now it's about as overplayed as "The Cake is a Lie." When people say that kinda thing on Vent, it used to earn 'em a /gkick from me... since that's my FAVORITE thing to do. Playful gkicks are ftw...

I have to say it again, it just bugs me that guys like this are more common than many think. I'll admit that I was possibly spoiled because my experience was with some of the coolest guys and gals anyone could have hoped for, but still, someone like that would make it impossible to have fun.

From what I hear, Mike's guild has pretty cool people, so good on them. I hope something like that link never crops up with them, and if it does, that it gets stamped out immediately.

We have a few boneheads... but it's easy to ignore them... or annoy them for the sake of annoying them. Ooooo... or when a "certain" somebody bitches about healers while he's MTing... you just forget to heal once. Whoops... did you die?

Exactly the point! It's a more common thing in the 5's and 10's. But in 25's... when the MT is acting like a cock... show your annoyance and hurt feelings, then let him die... which lets everybody die... then blame him. You just gotta be more convincing... it works!!!

Actually my favorite was when I pugged into a Mag raid with a group that led an exodus from our guild pre-BC... after we gave the MT the mats + bindings for Thunderfury (Both bindings in our first 3 weeks of MC)... I've let him die a lot.

"Okay guys, 1% we got this, keep me up and burn him down."
Other healers - "we're oom! I need an innervate, 30 seconds till pot!"
me - "yeah I got you, don't worry.... whoops"
Him - "What the FUCK! 0 deaths except for the MT at 1%... that's fucking ridiculous"

I love me.

lol. My first guild pre BC had a total dickhead as the leader. He of course was the MT. God couldn't stand that fucktard. It's funny must be something about people who chose to play main tanks. Majority of them are just assholes. I had a horrible day at work, and got home to raid, it was a BWL night. I had to go afk for less than 5 minutes because I didn't eat all day and we were already into hour 3 of our raid making it 9pm. He kicked me out of the raid because I went AFK even though I announced it. He said I was wasting their time, yet he and his girlfriend would often take like 30 minute breaks for dinner making all of US wait. I got angry about it. He made some asshole remark about PMS. I gave him a week to apologize. He didn't, I G-quit. And so did all my friends including the guilds top 2 healers, offtank, 3 officers, and top dps. We formed our own guild. In less than a month we were raiding and they were disbanded. You can plainly see the Moral of the story.

mmmmmm... it reminds me of what happened to those cocks.

Pre-BC we got stuck on Razorgore... so they all left (11 officers in total). to a new guild.

BC came out, they left the new guild and made their own... in the process... taking some more of our players for "a more serious raiding guild where we still have fun with friends."

They progressed pretty quickly through Gruul/Mag, and killing 2 bosses in SSC. They raided 4ish days a week with "hardcore" rules... I ran with them a few times... some good players... but mostly NOT. Their healers were my bitches, that's all I gotta say.

So yeah... Incidentally the whole situation made me bitter/mad, so i took a break and went to another friends guild for a time. That guild fell apart and I came back to have some casual fun.

Then it happened, I came back, and bosses started dying (nothing I did, just good timing on my part. Smile

I'm Badass... but yeah, they got their shit together).

About a month ago... the SWEETEST thing ever happened. The breakoff guild stalled for about 3 months because they have horrible leadership (that left us) and bad taste in players... also... they're lame. Anywho... we were right behind them in progression.

We killed Hydross (which ties us with them) which was good for us, since we're still spiteful over it all... so catching up is like a big "fuck you" to them, the way we saw it (they said we were just not good players for a long time).

I went to post on the progression forum for our server and see the post before mine.

Fuckboy guild has disbanded
followed by
"we killed Hydross... GG fuckboy guild"

mmmmm, it tasted so good!

Yes... it's lame... but when people say that my friends and I suck... then try to "steal" friends from me... I get vengeful, bitter, and PETTY!

As far as the MT thing goes, that seems to be the case from what I saw on the sidelines, but again, I was spoiled with my MT. Our raid leader/MT was THE BEST dude you could ever meet. Genuinely seemed to care about his buddies and had the patience of a saint. Bastard has that "charisma" stuff in boatloads that's only reinforced by the fact that he would put himself in the trenches to help out his guild. He taught me some of the finer points of tanking, had me off-tank for him, and seemed to be cool with the fact that I had to disappear every raid for 30 minutes (explained in advanced, at the same time every time, so we could plan around it).

If I ever get in another guild, I can only hope for someone half as cool as him... or start my own and use him as my role-model.

Okay, I say we all crash onto a new server, start a Squishy guild and kick some ass.

I've seen MT's go both ways. Some rock and some are HORRIBLE. pretty 50/50 in my experience.
