Letting people know if you want to talk editing or writing send me a pm or post a reply here and we can see what we can work out. Currently helping Steve on a couple projects, but I can try to make time for anyone on these forums. Oh, by the way, if you are too sensitive about someone ripping your writing apart DO NOT ask me for help. I will tear through a paper and reconstruct it from the ground up, just ask Steve. _________________ Anyone who says money can't buy happiness doesn't have enough money. |

I guess that counts me out!
Nah really, I feel that writing is always an art where you can learn and improve.
I have 3 great Sr. editors who tear up my work and fix it up when its not to par. So getting my words tore up you wouldnt be all that bad.
I would like to offer my services but I got a full plate. So sorry. |

I would like to add that Joel is seriously good at editing. Not only does he have his command of grammar and punctuation down, but he understands the flow of prose and various literary devices. He'll correct it for composition and offer up solutions and alternatives as well. If you are working on anything and are in need of some assistance, seek his help. _________________ <(@_@<), <(@_@)>, (>@_@)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_~)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_@<) |

And of course that's the experience talking and not the education, I tell you my degree really is worthless. _________________ Anyone who says money can't buy happiness doesn't have enough money. |

How are you at editing feature-length movie scripts? _________________ Conan! What is best in life?

Then throw me some good vibes 'cause I'm gonna need it. Writing a readable script is merely the beginning, I've learned. What good is it if it ends up in an agent's trash bin because her intern has decided that "it's not what we're looking for right now." Gotta keep pushing, though. Nobody ever sold a vacuum by taking "no" for an answer. _________________ Conan! What is best in life?

Bring a sample with you next time I see you Paul. I've never done editing on scripts before, but if there is a lot of description to each of the scenes or panels then I think I can help for sure. If you need help with dialogue that's a matter of figuring out what is going on inside the character's heads. One example I spoke to Steve about was his characterization, i.e. how does he want each character to sound to the audience and how much that determines their dialogue and the use of "passive voice" with passive/unsure/meak personas versus "active voice" for the oak tree type characters. So if you need me to check for consistency or just say "that doesn't sound right" I can. _________________ Anyone who says money can't buy happiness doesn't have enough money. |
