According to the same streamed interview that Dave referenced during the Smash Brothers Music thread, the Screw Attack guys mentioned that Mario Kart for the Wii will be released early during the later part of this year and will be online. _________________ <(@_@<), <(@_@)>, (>@_@)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_~)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_@<) |

No. No it doesn't.
I love your "Nintendo DS connecting to XBox Live" idea. Nintendo should just make games for Microsoft.
That would rock. _________________ "Addiction can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be changed."

Wait, 899684834775755? I thought you meant 899683844775755, not 899684834775755. He's a great guy. 899683844775755, however, is a total jerk. _________________ "Addiction can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be changed."

ok, so by now anyone with access to the logs is aware of what I'm doing now. For those of you who don't know, what you don't know doesn't hurt you.
In a vain attempt to make this post seem to deserve to be left here, friend codes are the single reason I completely gave up even bothering to try to play DS games online. I haven't tried the Wii yet, largely because there are bugger all online games for it and not so largely becuase I have better things to spend money on. _________________ Blake: "Tally ho, chocks away old chap"

Recently several online gaming sites have been stating that "Mario Kart Wii" would be online with 16 players, jumping on a story first printed by Britain's "Official Nintendo Magazine". The fans rejoiced. Perhaps prematurely.
Apparently, a new statement just released by ONM states the following:
"The details printed in Official Nintendo Magazine 21 regarding Mario Kart Wii were healthy speculation on our part and are in no way an official announcement from Nintendo.
We are sorry if we have mislead anyone. We do not set out to mislead our readers. ONM apologises profusely for any misunderstandings that this has caused."
And so we are thrust back into the umbra. Possibly wishful speculation holds that they could be retracting the statement because they weren't supposed to print that yet. The more common theory is that they just got a little over excited. I'm hoping it actually is the first one, but since Nintendo see, always ready to bust our dreams of online bliss by descended from the rafters like some inky wraith to dash our hopes and taint our fun with its Friend Codes and its "conservative" approach to online.
Don't worry though, regardless of how many people you can actually play with online, at least you'll be able to do it with this:
See what they've got in their hands? Its not the older Ubisoft Wheel, its a brand new peripheral for you to plug your Wii-mate into. This was debuted at the recent Leipzig Games Convention at the tail end of a presentation on Mario Kart.Notice the buttons on the back? Not sure exactly how its going to work or what, but we've got yet another device to use with this "simple"gaming system. _________________ <(@_@<), <(@_@)>, (>@_@)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_~)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_@<) |

If you're reallllly jonesing for your online Mario Kart fix and happen to have the uber-awesome "Half Life 2" for your PC, you can always get this mod.
I have yet to try it out myself, but seeing as how I do have HL2 I will go pick up and install this to play around with for a bit. Right next to my install of Goldeneye: Source _________________ <(@_@<), <(@_@)>, (>@_@)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_~)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_@<) |
