Tobey Maguire is set to produce a live action Robotech movie and may take the top role. Warner Bros. bought the rights for the movie from Harmony Gold and Craig Zahler, who has zero produced scripts, is tapped to write the script.

Also, a live action Voltron movie is currently in pre-production. The script was written by Justin Marks, who is also writting another He-Man live action script.

In other movie news, it looks like Disney and Miramax have settled their dispute to Artemis Fowl and the movie is back on track. When will any of these be out? Your guess is as good as mine.

Why are all my childhood cartoons being defiled and made into flashy movies for the ADD generation? Evil or Very Mad

Money. Face it, James, you're not going to be the best source of income for these movie makers. It's going to be the kids who drag their parents to the movies that'll be the big bucks for Hollywood.

Just answering your question, James. I have no opinion on the actual contents of the movie just yet. Smile

That's exactly it *points to the ADD comment*. They'll watch the movie and miss so much/not remember most of due to wandering attention that they'll have to buy the DVD in order to actually get through the whole thing (after repeated tries).

Hell, it doesn't even need to be "childhood" stuff in order to be remade. Look at what else is making the rounds in the rumor mill
