They just put up a entry at IMDB that lists a movie for 2010. It got mentioned along with the Thundercats movies in the Angry Video Game Nerd's "Transformers" review.
No other information at this time, but its something to look forward to. _________________ <(@_@<), <(@_@)>, (>@_@)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_~)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_@<)
As was mentioned here the "G.I. Joe" movie has been "fast tracked", that is to say moved up ahead of schedule and rushed into production as soon as possible in order to beat the impending series of strikes predicted to shutdown Hollywood, more or less. It's original release date was set sometime during 2010 (as stated in the above post).
This announcement just having been made, we are already hearing of problems. The biggest being the general outcry of dissatisfaction with the proposed plot of the movie (nevermind the script still hasn't been written). The major point of contention? The fact that G.I. Joe is to be changed into a more international organization (no doubt properly ethnically diverse) based out of Brussels, Belgium. Oh, and the name? It now stands for "Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity". Both changes are reportedly being made in order to make it friendlier to non-U.S. audiences.
No word yet on whether COBRA (Conniving Occidental Bigoted Right(wing) Aryans) will be composed solely by White people, but the kicking of puppies and oppression of those of color are more than likely. _________________ <(@_@<), <(@_@)>, (>@_@)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_~)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_@<)
