Discuss. I don't usually like ongoing continuity, I generally prefer several story arcs after one another. But Jeph has done such a good job with QC that sometimes i tihnk he's actually following the lives of a group of real people. Apart from the Anthro PCs, which are obviously fictional. Obviously... I'm not a great fan of the art, I think it was best quite a long time ago (I'll give a number later) but it's still far more than good enough to be worth reading. Have a link.

Yes, that actually happened. In Algebra 1. In the States. To me.

As I stated in a previous thread I've been Reading QC and I have to say I enjoy it quite alot. I AM a fan of high continuity strips and his is probably my favorite afterSomething Positive(which, Aran, if you aren't reading you should be). Sometimes QC does go a little overboard with whole the "music snob" scene but even those strips aren't so frequent as to be annoying. The story is fun and the characters are engaugeing. I'm on like 400 now and they're curently on like 950 so I still have a ways to go, but so far so good.

But for continuity strips you need to build story momentum and, more importantly, you have to have really strong characterization so the characters can take being dropped into situation after situation without everything getting very stale. Though simple you do get a lot of misses when people try that.

If you say they succeed then perhaps they are worth the shot. Gag strips have a easier time of it though. You don't really need to re-use characters and the one's you do have can be done up in different ways letting the situation bring out the humor. I tend to stick to those.

So in my psyc. class we we're talking about moral obligations, and this idea actually came up. It was interesting to listen to people argue about with a girl should ask guys questions like are you married? or are you an ex-con? before getting involved or whether it is the man moral obligation to inform girls of anything that might change their mind about get involved.
