I'm seriously looking forward to the continuation of this strip. I haven't gotten to play D&D for a loooong time, so I'm going through withdrawals! So this is sort of like my 'gaming fix' for now. (I didn't get the joke though, whatever it was. Poo, failed the test.)
I imagine playing D&D with the Squishy Crew would be... interesting, to say the least. Should be fun!
I hope Bianca isn't pissed for too long, though. (I'm such a Dave/Bianca shipper!) |

Just think of how I talk on Vent... use that + extra nerdy humor + us yelling at Arturo (parsifal) and you got it. _________________

So to respond to mike's news post on the "he's dead, jim" strip. I believe step 2 would be him not being 2443.79 miles away. _________________ ~jynx~

If I were to believe that accomplishing Step 1 would have Step 2 happen, I'd do it in a heart beat. As it is, I'll probably do it anyways, but not as quickly. I'm going through GM withdraw but I don't know what kinda game to run... and when the players say "Anything", that doesn't help
Still, when it happens, I'm sure it'll be mind-blowing _________________ "Addiction can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be changed."

Man, that's what sucks! Now my gaming group only wants to play WoW and doesn't tabletop anymore! I miss it so much! *cries*
I mean, WoW is really fun, but tabletop is a totally different experience. I wouldn't want one to supplant the other, but apparently the ease and convenience of having a computer do all the boring rules work for you is too much to resist. Heh.
I mean, I can kind of understand it because I don't like dealing with all the rules that bog down combat and seem to make it take forever, but I miss the character and world creation and the ability to really act out my character and control the path of the story. |

Gather your torches and pitchforks and head to Irvine California. Bring Blizzard Down! Oh wait. They just teamed with Activision. They'll bring themselves down shortly. No worries. _________________

But I like Activision....and I've been to both of their respective offices:P
Its kind of a minor, semi-holy grail of the disciple 2nd-from-left at the pre-brunch before the last supper for some time now to have a set of dev tools which would let us take a game engine and build entire campaign worlds with controllable NPCs and story events. "Neverwinter Nights", "Vampire: The Redemption", "Lionheart" were among the games that have promised this but didn't /quite/ deliver. I know there was some sort of D&D RTS recently that expanded on that system and we're making occasional strides but we aren't there yet.
Its exactly like playing video Monopoly. You just make decisions and roll the dice and the game handles all of the calculations and rule checks.

WoW sucks out your soul and that is a hard thing to get people to stop. But the gang here still play tabletop, though sometimes Joel (i,e, Celo) play WoW and/or the tabletop games.
Dave should run a space adventure game going...or regular game of IOU. Because I like both those ideas and I'm a girl. Which means I'm right. Well mostly right anyway. _________________ ~jynx~

God thats so true. I want to stop playing it. But I can't. Its horrid. All your friends in game rely on you and you feel bad if you miss a night to go do anything else because you get guilt trips about how so and so would be dead if you were there. GLAH!!! _________________

They're faster than me! They have boots of escaping! (Reno 911 anyone?). eh I can't complain really. The game is a very nice reality escape where I can kill people and get rewards for it. _________________

You know what would be awesome? Online IOU game played by forum post.
(Yeah, I know it's not very likely. But it's fun to think about.) |

The only problem would be that the lag. If we got a chatroom style game going it would be sweet, but I dont know if I trust Dave enough to not lie about his rolls. _________________ ~jynx~
