which do you like more: cats ot dogs

Which do you prefer: cats or dogs?

In my case, I prefer cats, cleaner, smarter and they make prrrrrrrr

Unless the cat is Toby or Orange Cat... then I'm gonna say Dogs dominate.

Someday if I ever have a place with a big yard I'm getting a Border Collie.

Anyways, yeah, Toby and Orange Cat were the shit... so I can't disrespect 'em.

That kitty sniper was my desktop background at my old soul-crushing collections job. Awesome boss let me keep it (he sent the image). Awesome boss gets fired by not awesome owners. Not awesome owners makes me take it down... and make me remove all my moral boosting drawings, knick-knacks, pictures, mementos, and anything else that would indicate Individuality, Creativity, or Fun.

Then less than awesome owners wonered why moral plummeted, numbers tanked, and turnover went from almost nill to extremely high.

I HATED that place. Still do.

I like big dogs. Huskies especially.

I "prefer" kitties out of practicality (and personality traits).

I gots me 2 kitties.

One is a very old black kitty with white stockings on her paws. She's really affectionate now that she FINALLY realized we're not trying to kill her, which was pretty much her first 5 years of life.

The other is a young gray "common American" mid-hair mix kitty. Little bastard is very nice, friendly, and just that side of oblivious. He'll walk up to total strangers to give, and receive affection, will curl up in your lap when you're just sitting there, and follow you around the house to see what you're up to. I love that cat.

A cat can't save you from drowning.

And if I get me a border collie, it can herd my kids (if I ever have 'em)... so it's like... awesome.

Yes, huskies are beautiful. That would probably be my first choice for a dog. (Except I'd want to live in a cooler climate.)

Also, your second kitty sounds so sweet! I just want to snuggle him! <3

I adopted my first kitty. Mike's right, she's named Calsetas, Spanish for Stalkings. She was distrusting of most people, kinda trusted me, but LOVED my sister. Calsetas "chose" my sister.

My sister, however, rescued Chip (or Chico, responds to both). He was a baby, homeless kitten. And to add to the heart-tugging, he was found in a flower pot, covered in just the right amount of dirt, crying his little heart out. No joke.

In any case, he apparently took a shine to me, as cats usually "adopt" one other person.
