A very simple question for fun and to spur some activity here: So how do you know Squishy?
My answer's simple: I draw the whole thing and Dan decided to make me one of the central characters.

Anyway lesse, how do I know Squishy.
I think I'd qualify as 2 things,
In house psychiatrist and extremely low interest, long term loan officer.
Oh yeah I also count as the firearms drill instructor and loud speaker on a paintball field.
So I guess that's how I know Squishy, unless I missed something there. _________________ Anyone who says money can't buy happiness doesn't have enough money. |

I knew Squishy from my days in The War. He was a fine soldier, never whined about wanting to see his mother or anything.
I remember, this one time, we were dug-in overlooking the town of Foy. Snow blanketed everything for miles around 'cause there was a blizzard that blew through our position the previous night. Legs felt like lead bars and my nose was this close to comin' right off. The town looked peaceful - sleepy, even - until the artillery started. There were four of us in that fox hole: me, Squish, and two guys from Dog Company that got separated form their unit on account o' that blizzard - I forget their names.
Anyhow, there we were, just sittin' there waitin' for the shelling to stop, and you could hear the crack of bark exploding all around us. Every time a round went off near our hole I could hear one o' the Dog company guys saying a Hail Mary into his shaking hands just before it would rain dirt and rocks on our heads. Then, out o' nowhere, the Hail Mary guy started to scream. At first we thought he'd been hit so we checked him, but he was all there - no blood. We tried to calm him down but he laid one helluva haymaker on his buddy before bolting from the fox hole. A shell exploded nearby, and it shoulda killed him, but it just turned him around and he was running at the town where the Krauts were shelling us from. Then Squish, without a second thought, bolts from the hole after 'em. I couldn't believe it. He barely knew the guy and he went after 'em like it was his own brother. I just put my head into my hands and stayed down until the shelling was over.
When it finally stopped, it was just me and that other Dog company guy, knocked out cold. I looked around for Squish, but he was gone. I never saw him again after that. _________________ Conan! What is best in life?

Oh, hey, that worked?
I should post more often there instead of just peeking in from time to time. _________________ "Addiction can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be changed."

True. I just need to pick out the strips that stand out the most visually and/or punchline wise. _________________ "Addiction can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be changed."

I know Dan from school, and now he is my friend. And friends read other friends comics, especially if they're good.
