Via Stephen Totilo, writer for MTV's Multiplayer Blog comes the following info: $170, November 23rd.
There you go. At 30 bones less than the originally quoted price of $200(+tax+shipping+bribe so the Gamestop guy doesn't jack your microphone from your box) the bundle will come with a drum kit, one guitar, a microphone and the game "Rock Band". The stated price is for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions with the previously thought to be releasing next year PS2 version (for you people who still feel its enough console for you. Which is cool, they do clock in at about $120 with another price cut rumored) coming out December 10th.
There is unfortunately bad news for our Xbox 360 owning compatriots: While the PS3 and PS2 versions will feature the yummy cookie goodness of a packed in wireless guitar, the X360 version (thanks to Microsoft's stingy-ness with their wireless technology) will leave us with only a wired guitar to play with. There is news that there will be a wireless guitar for the big white box, but its release is only listed as "someday"...
*BONUS* Tour Info
To hype the upcoming release of their no doubt mega-selling music game MTV has launched a national tour to consisting of 24 stops in various American cities. This by itself isn't that uncommon as everything from those little electric Wii cars to various vans and buses are sent out on the road to get the people who generally don't spend their time watching ad-packed television. What makes this time different is this:
Housed in the back of each of the several retro-fitted trailers (where were this Optimus Prime, a laser turret and little dune buggy would be housed) is a two level "jam studio" (with a full stage set up with lights and sound systems) where a aspiring pseudo-band can hop in and get a cranking sneak-play at "Rock Band". On top of that there is a added angle to this: The inside of the studio is wired for recording, this tour doubling as a sort of mobile audition where at the end of it 2 bands will be chosen from the recorded demos and flown back to MTV studios in New York. Here they'll get some lessons in rocking (from whom it is not said) in preparation of a face-off...on TRL... Not to let that stop you, keep in mind that the winner of that event will be opening for some as of yet unannounced "Real Band" at the official "Rock Band" launch party.

As stated at the beginning of the list, the actual locations in each city will be announced shortly before the dates arrive. Oddly enough, I think Mike and Joel managed to see one of these on a recent trip to Las Vegas to go see "Linkin Park". Unfortunately for all involved they didn't get a chance to actually check it out. Hopefully that won't be the case when it hits here in Los Angeles. Who's up for going in as a band? Lets see those hands... _________________ <(@_@<), <(@_@)>, (>@_@)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_~)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_@<)

Um, that doesn't sound right. _________________ Mercy is the mark of a great man.

Yeah, thanks for poking at the writing and totally missing the point by not commenting on the subject matter.
Previously, they thought it was releasing next year. 2 different grammar check programs and some second opinions say its okay. What is a little off is the huge parenthetical statement I have there. Should probably be its own sentence. _________________ <(@_@<), <(@_@)>, (>@_@)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_~)>, <(@_@)>, <(@_@<)
