Finally we FF fans get another part to the Final Fantasy VII saga! Final Fantsay CRISIS CORE!!!!
It's official release date in the U.S. is in March 2008, but we all know that can change... But it's going to be released next year! Like a dork, I already have it reserved at Gamestop....
Also it's gonna suck for you non psp owners because I'm pretty sure it's exclusive to that system.

BTW FF XII on the DS aparently rocks. Very Happy

First, let me be that asshole and say... ENOUGH with milking FF7! Dammit, SquareEnix, stop milking FF7 and actually focus on comming up with QUALITY new titles! Remember those!? Square, remember how you all came up with FF7 THE FIRST TIME AROUND!? Remember FF6!? Remember CHRONO FUCKING TRIGGER!? Enix, you're not off the hook. You had a good thing going with the Ogre Battle series. What the hell happened to that!?

And now... well, cool. The fans have something to look forward too. I'm sure it'll be loads of fun too Smile

Enix is busy making "Dragon Quest" games. Sure S-E is working on putting the older ones in the re-release wringer like the FFs are, but at least they're making new-different DQ games...too bad they dropped the realtime action-rpg fighting system from DQ IX because the increasingly less important Japanese gaming faction whined about it.

But on the plus side, the "Front Mission" serious is still FUCKING SOLID!
Read'em and weep FF fans, my favorite series is still coming out and /doesn't/ suck!!

JRPG's are dead to me. I have all my PS1 and prior ones... but nothing for the PS2 (minus Disgaea if somebody didn't fucking lose it) and above.

It's not even beating a dead horse with FFVII now... they're trying to fist it... and fondle it's spleen.

Make the madness stop. FFVII was cool and revolutionary at it's time... but it's not the tip of God's penis.

Xenogears > all

You can't ever have enough Final Fantasy games. It may be a contradiction to the name FINAL fantasy but every game has always sucked me into it and well if it wasn't for Final Fantasy I probably wouldn't be considered a gamer.

But you can have enough of A Final Fantasy game...

FFVII is being milked way too damn hard. I'll say... Advent Children was okay. But IMO, if it didn't have the FFVII tag on it, it would have been mediocre. The Vincent based game was JANK... total jank. Crisis Core may be okay... but I personally would rather see NEW good ideas as opposesd to rehashed "easy money" ideas.

Xenosaga has the right idea... but kinda shafted themselves in gameplay. It was a related storyline with intertwined characters, but not a direct rip/spinoff.

Anywho... bring on FFXIII... hopefully it'll not suck. FINALLY they come out and make the main character a REAL girl... instead of a manwoman.

Hey! What about Final Fantasy X-2. Yuna, Rikku, and Paine. They aren't manwomen. Well Paine might of been a manwoman, but thats speculation. AND they got to dress up in cute outfits. Girl game for the win.

It's a sequel to a Final Fantasy game. Those don't count.

Picky picky. Sheesh post the rules of the game before you become a nazi about them.

I like Tycho's (Penny Arcade) whole focus on the games:

FF7 = The Big sword
FF8= The Gun sword
FF9 =
FF10= The Water sword

WTF FF9! Where's your sword? A monkey boy with a tail? This doesn't fit! DAMN YOU FF9!!! Damn you to HELL!!!!!

FF 9 was great! Fuckin' old school status!

By the logic I see, it proves that big swords and anime hair make for a crappy game!

Oh yeah, Freya was a badass lancer
